CAPE WEST ROTARY ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIPS
The Cape West Rotary Club offers two scholarships that are endowed through the Southeast Missouri University Foundation. These scholarships are given annually. Applications are due each year by March 1. The selection of the scholarship winners is determined by Southeast Missouri University.
The Cape West Memorial Scholarship is approximately $1,000 per school year. This Scholarship is open to undergraduates with a minimum of 30 credit hours completed when the scholarship is awarded, have a minimum GPA of 2.75 and have financial need. Preference will be given to applicants who submit a letter of recommendation from a Cape West Rotary member with their scholarship application. This scholarship is in memory of Cape West Rotarians whose service to their club and community exemplifies the Rotary Motto of "Service Above Self."
The Vic Hill Memorial and Cape West Scholarship is approximately $1,700 per school year. This Scholarship is to aid non-traditional students at Southeast Missouri State University. Non-traditional students are defined as those over 35, under 25 and married, widowed or divorced; those with general-education diploma, veterans or those who have been away from college for a year or longer. This scholarship is in memory of Vic Hill, a Cape West Rotarian, who had a career of 44 years in education.
